State of Fear
Michael Chrichton wrote a book before his passing, whose theme was the state of fear in this country, produced by media, legislators, congress, and presidents, that get people in a state of terror, then sell ads when they have grabbed their attention with their terrible rhetoric. There is a huge amount of truth in this theme, and describes exactly what is happening with the evil phenomenon called ISIS
Every time ISIS commits one or several of their horrific deeds, all of the media television monopolies repeat the incident over and over again, to the point of ridiculous overkill. Not only are they acting as marketing agents for ISIS, through their promotion of the insane deeds, they are also putting the public in a constant state of fear and terror, selling ads for the major corporations. They have the complete attention of their base. Who would not look at the decapitated heads of Christians on the Arab beaches. Whether the large media companies are aware of the fact that they are being used, remains in the speculation category. Their ratings are up and ads are selling at high records.
In a free press nation, responsibility and ethics are left to the companies and individual congressmen as well as presidents. The fact that ISIS has free promotional agents on nightly TV, is disgusting and dangerous on its face. .
